Click HereRemember the joy you felt as a child when you grabbed the bottle of chocolate syrup to pour over ice cream, into milk, or, let’s be honest, right into your mouth? Well, we might all still be kids at heart, but it’s not impossible that our tastes have matured a bit. Luckily, this chocolate sauce will deliver the same childlike delight all while thrilling your taste buds.
In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, whisk together the cocoa powder, sugar, heavy cream, and milk. Bring to a simmer for two minutes. Don’t over simmer or the chocolate sauce will end up too thick.
Keeping your saucepan over medium-low heat, add chocolate and stir until fully melted.
Remove the chocolate mixture from the heat and stir in a pinch of salt and vanilla extract. Chocolate sauce will thicken as it cools.
Spoon over ice cream, into milk, or right into your mouth, we won’t judge.
Chocolate sauce can be kept in a tightly sealed container in the refrigerator for a month.
